About Evelyn

Nurturing, functional, Creative

My style blends gentle challenges with deep nourishment. Drawing inspiration from diverse culture and the wisdom of multiple yoga lineages, I enjoy guides students through a mindfully crafted journey of progressive movement, inviting transformation through daily improvement. You could expect non-repetition sequencing for months after stating practice with me.

First-hand Experience Believer

I keep teaching a minimum 500 hours each year since 2020 to continually enrich my offerings. My ultimate aspiration is to share not only knowledge but also serve each individual experience, weaving authenticity, personal growth and genuine care into the yoga practice that I share.

Lifelong Student

The creativity comes from consistency.

Visualised myself as a lifelong student, the quest for exploration knows no bounds. I take breaks each year to immerse in training with my teachers from all over the world. My study continues on domains of,

  • 300-hour Hatha Raja Vinyasa Krama plus hands-on adjustment YTT by Ambra Vallo (my mentor);

  • 50-hour Invigorating Rocket yoga (by Larry Schultz) YTT with Ambra Vallo;

  • 40-hour Yogic Breathwork & meditation YTT with Ambra Vallo;

  • 200-hour Vinyasa YTT with Patricia Szeto & Lina Fang;

  • 40-hour The Science of Stretch YTT by Lucas Rockwood;

  • 30-hour Effective sequencing YTT with Carling Harps and Patrick Beach;

With over 1500 hours of practice, including rich practice in Forrest Yoga by Ana Forrest, which focuses on injury recovery and holistic evolution; the playful Dharma yoga with Patricia Szeto; and Iyengar yoga with Brian Hogencamp.

Community Builder

In my early twenties, that idea of a global citizen began to take shape—I had the privilege of living, studying and working across three continents and traveling solo to over 30 countries. Each destination deepened my curiosity about the world and my appreciation for the beauty found in different cultures, languages, and ways of life.

I was raised in a family and culture that holds deep respect for food—not just as sustenance, but as a daily act of love and care. Meals were always fresh, nourishing, and thoughtfully prepared. That early connection to food stayed with me as I wandered the globe. As a solo traveler, I found joy in hunting for local ingredients in bustling markets, sharing meals with strangers who became friends, and learning how food brings people together across borders.

My travels weren’t just about seeing new places; they were about connection. I’ve always been fascinated by how language shapes identity, and how community provides the grounding we all need. Whether in Asia, Europe, or North America, I found ways to connect with locals, contribute to communities, and create shared spaces of belonging.

Over the past decade, I’ve been devoted to building communities wherever I’ve lived—from yoga circles in Vancouver to wellness retreats in Southeast Asia. These experiences taught me that home isn't always a place—it’s a feeling we can cultivate through care, curiosity, and contribution.

In every chapter of my journey, I’ve carried one question with me: How can we create spaces where people feel seen, nourished, and connected? That question continues to guide everything I offer during my retreats.
